My Services
LIVING DESIGN – by Alina Ulmeanu offers the full range of interior services. Starting from a new, fresh idea, we offer the client design concepts that are differentiated by uniqueness and innovation. Each project started, has the guarantee of good execution and benefits from high precision technical services. We make sure throughout the collaboration that we deliver as expected. We strongly believe in client involvement in the design process. A unique vision and design starts from the first interaction between client and interior designer and is beautifully finished, taking into account the space offered, the owner's personality and the selected textures.

Planning Phase
Concept Phase
During the second phase of the project, we will create the previously established concepts and move on to a more advanced stage of the design project.
Design Development
After approval of the design concept, Living Design By Alina Ulmeanu will start the actual design of the space, in agreement with the client and those directly involved in the project.
The Mood Board - the Mood Board is the cornerstone of the project.
A mood board is a collection of ideas made from cut-outs, scraps of texture materials, pictures, sketches, drawings. It is a visual tool that helps you to understand very quickly and easily the direction a project is heading towards.
Planning Phase
The last part of of the design process process is 3D renderings, photorealistic renderings. Rendering is the most flexible and efficient method for visualising and presenting a product that already exists, does not yet exist or is in the process of development.
Renderings of a project, allow us to discuss based on the images and form a very clear idea of the ergonomics of the space, colours, finishes.
There is a lot of debate about the usefulness of presenting projects in 3D, here are some selected pluses and minuses:
Overview You can see the desired finishes, very well framed in your apartment, house or office, before purchasing the materials needed for the site.
-United Communication - The construction team will rely on renderings to position the chosen finishes, know exactly which wall is coloured green and which is purple, know exactly where to mount the wallpaper and how the final project should look.
- multiple simulations - We can do multiple spot simulations in case certain finishes don't fit in the context of the project.
- extra time - Depending on the size of the project, it takes on average 3 working days to generate renderings for a room.
- extra cost - Because of the time it takes to generate the renderings, extra costs are incurred. However, these costs can be amortised by eliminating mismatches in vision and communication between people involved in the project.
We use SketchUp design software in addition to V-Ray.
To conclude, rendering is actually a lot of work, a lot of time and a lot of detail related to the data entered into the software. When we say "data", we mean any information in an image - geometry, lights, texture, shadows, angle, colours. Rendering is both a science and an art.

Pre-project discussion
is an initial meeting between the client and the interior designer, which is extremely important for the final result. The designer needs to understand what the client wants, what space is to be designed, what elements (objects, colours, decorations) the client really wants and what the time frame is, all of which leads to a correct estimate of the workload.

Complete measurement
Accurate, three-dimensional measurement of the space to be designed and its electronic redesign. Take the necessary measurements and photograph the space. The survey forms the basis of the design project and guarantees the accuracy of the calculations of finishes, furnishings, etc. thus avoiding errors that may occur in the implementation of the project.

Plans with furniture proposal
this stage consists of drawing up plans for the layout and placement of furniture, following studies of flows and ergonomics. This will lead to the choice of the optimal furniture layout, according to the needs of the beneficiaries.

Concept
Perhaps the most important part of a design project is the creative part. The designer selects certain reference images to define the ambience of the spaces in the project, chooses finishes, materials and objects from different suppliers, designs the furniture to order

3D photorealistic presentations/renovations
this is the step where we model the rooms, furniture, etc. and create representative 3D images, so-called renderings. These will illustrate the proposed design: finishes, colour composition, furniture items, decorations, etc. With the help of the renderings, the client will be able to visualise the final image of the design before the construction site starts.
Interior designer design and execution details
are A4 or A3 drawings with plans, elevations and necessary execution details (electrical installation plans, plumbing, other specific details), collected in the file that will be given to the workers on site, in order to understand the work to be done.

Tracking the work
The interior designer will regularly come to the site for organisation, for the implementation of the proposed solutions, to provide support information to the work teams and to ensure that the layout plan and concept are followed exactly.

Shopping list, interior design visas, custom furniture detailing
is the creation of a table of dimensions and quantities required for each finish, i.e. the selection of finishes, furniture and decorative elements, based on catalogues and samples from various suppliers. The items selected for the furnishing will be included in a shopping list, which contains all the necessary details for the purchase (number of items, supplier, price, link). For customised items (pieces of furniture/decorative elements), detail drawings will be made and sent to suppliers for price quotations and time estimates.
Consultancy
as it is natural that various questions and concerns arise, throughout the implementation of the project, the beneficiaries turn to the interior designer to consult on all sorts of situations and make the best decisions.

Procurement assistance
During the implementation of the project, although most of the time the shopping list is sufficient, on request, beneficiaries are accompanied in the purchase of objects and materials and will be advised on the quality of the products, colour and material palette, product alternatives, etc.
The steps outlined above are absolutely necessary in terms of achieving a quality end result, and others are complementary and lead to a better understanding of the project. This ensures accuracy in execution, in the sense that the beneficiary can visualise the real and final picture of the project.
